The IDCL certificate is governed by following terms & conditions:

  1. These T&Cs shall be binding upon both INSTITUTE OF DIAMOND CERTIFICATION LABORATORY and the Customer applying for and availing of the Services(Gem(s)/ jewellery identification and certification)
  2. This certificate does not indicate any treatment done on the specimen, unless otherwise specified.
  3. This certificate describes the property of given specimen at the same time and is not responsible for the use of the certificate with any other similar specimens.
  4. Tests which are not applicable, needed or useful in identification are not performed.
  5. This certificate does not indicate about NATURAL or SYNTHETIC origin of QUARTZ, unless otherwise specified.
  6. This certificate does not pretend to cut, clarity and quality of colour of specimen, unless otherwise specified.
  7. This report is provided on the request of the customer or the owner of the gem(s) and jewellery. Neither the client nor the purchaser of gem(s) and jewellery shall regard this report as a guarantee, warranty, evaluation and appraisal.
  8. Mounted stones graded only to the extent mounting permits examination.
  9. This report contains only the characteristic of the gems/jewellery described here in after it has been graded, tested, examined and analyzed by INSTITUTE OF DIAMOND CERTIFICATION LABORATORY carefully with specialized instruments/instructions.
  10. The party recognizes that the opinion may responsibly vary regarding characteristics covered in this report, Hence INSTITUTE OF DIAMOND CERTIFICATION LABORATORY, or any member of its staff, at any cost may not be held responsible for any discrimation, which may result from the applications of other grading methods.
  11. The report is considered null or void if any alteration(s), is/are made to the gems/jewellery or to the report or the packing itself.
  12. In the event of the claim by the client or any person for the damage of the gem(s)/ jewellery , or damage resulting direct or indirect from this report the liability of INSTITUTE OF DIAMOND CERTIFICATION LABORATORY shall be limited to the amount it receives as fee in connection with this report.
  13. No duplicate certificate will be issued without inspecting the specimen again. If any variation with the previous same/similar specimen occur for which INSTITUTE OF DIAMOND CERTIFICATION LABORATORY, or any of its staff at any time may not be held responsible for the discrepancy.
  14. The specimen deposited for the certification should be taken back with in one month from the identification service and generation of the report by making due payment otherwise INSTITUTE OF DIAMOND CERTIFICATION LABORATORY will not be responsible for any damage nor shall accept any claim in this behalf.
  15. This report shall be governed by Indian judicially system and all matters, disputes or references to the arbitration shall be subjected to jurisdiction within the state of Delhi only.
